I jumbled around how the showcase on the main page, the portfolio section and the blog tie together to try and streamline the site a bitty and not have a wall of thumbnails on the portfolio page. From now on all 2011 work will be posted as full size showcase images until 2012 when I’ll truncate the section and so on. Hopefully this makes sense.
I’m in the process of creating a sheet for a character I did in June last year so that will probably be the next update…

This image was created in Zbrush, 3Ds Max, Vray and Photoshop in 1 day ( about 8 hours).
Finally took the plunge and upgraded my dwellings to take advantage of WordPress goodness. Hopefully things will work as intended but there may be some issues until I get the hang of things. The portfolio section has been updated a bit, check out some of the new work I’ve posted.
All characters had a texture sheet size of 256 x 512 diffuse and normal maps and a tri budget of 4000. Exceot the metal suit guys which used the whole 512 x 512 sheet and had 5000 tris. These budgets were very strict due to the Crackdown engine not being able to stream – instead bulk loading all assets at once.
